It is getting harder and harder for those corporate sponsored capitalist luddites to hide the truth about runaway effects of increasing atmospheric CO2.

This satellite data comes to us via an unimpeachable source: The University of Illinois Department of Atmospheric Sciences. What could be clearer than the rapidly rising temperature seen in the blade of the hockey stick on the right side of the graph? Based on this data, it is high time that the deniers are rounded up and punished (executed?) for their greed inspired destruction of the planet.

Just to let you know, I was caught out by this post this morning and wrote a whole article assuming you were actually intending to compare the two.
But I suppose, when I said “yes it is a hockeystick” – I couldn’t in anyway be said to have been biased – as at the time I thought it was a metric of global temperature.

I’ve now used this episode to prove that even I could not distinguish so called “global warming” from simple real-world noise (in this case your Antarctic plot).

Surely there’s at least one person besides me who actually went to the source and found that the graph was of the S. Hemisphere Sea Ice Anomaly, not a study purporting to be a temperature record, and certainly not going back as far as Mann’s work.
The graph provided here lacked a label on the y axis. How can anything measured since 1979 have anything to do with Mann’s work in paleoclimatology?

Yes, this is known as satire.
The idea is that when intrepid readers (like you) go to the source they see very solid evidence that sea ice surrounding Antarctica has been steadily increasing for a third of a century and rapidly increasing for the last several years.
But I have to admit, it is a drag when satire needs to be explained.
